Vacation Bible School
VBS
Sandy Creek Baptist Church held its annual Vacation Bible School June 21-23. Throughout the week, 46 volunteers welcomed 66 differenct children as they explored Nazareth. This year, children experienced Hometown Nazareth: When Jusus was a Kid! Each night, participants experienced life in Nazareth by worshipping through song, fellowshipping with tribe members, visiting Mary's house, and exploring the markets and playing games Jesus may have played when he was a child.
The church celebrated the VBS closing on Sunday, July 24 with a slideshow, youth speakers and a cookout. During the week of VBS, children collected offering and canned goods for the Amelia Food Pantry. On Monday, July 11, Sandy Creek presented the Amelia Food Pantry with the collected goods, along with a check for $235.06.
